The OPENING of the Exhibition will take place on September 19, starting at 6:00 p.m.
More and more evidence attests to the essential role of art in mental health and well-being. Through these activities, the project aims to respond to the needs of expression and reconnection to their own body and creative potential of people with psychiatric diagnoses, thus contributing to their well-being and social integration.
The Entuziart Association, in partnership with Art In/Sane, are the initiators of the project “Through art therapy to the soul of the voiceless – mental disorders in the urban environment” dedicated to the promotion of art therapy and its benefits in working with vulnerable people. The main goal of the project is to bring to the fore the importance of art therapy as a form of therapeutic intervention and social inclusion, offering people with vulnerabilities a platform to express their emotions and rediscover their self-confidence. Through the activities carried out with the beneficiaries of the partner social assistance centers and with the students of special schools, the project aimed to highlight the transformative power of art therapy and to contribute to the integration of these methods into standard therapeutic practice. Through this initiative, we aim to bring to the public’s attention the resources of these creators with sensitive souls, people from whom we have a lot to learn.
Within the exhibition, there will be an information session for professionals in the field, with presentations on art therapy and psychopathological art. The event will be moderated by Dr. Valentin-Veron Toma and will bring together project members, art therapy specialists and other mental health specialists. This workshop will be open to the public, with free admission, providing opportunities for learning and discussion about these forms of expressive-creative therapy. The workshop will take place on September 23, 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., in the amphitheater of the ARCUB Gabroveni Gallery.
The Entuziart Association, in partnership with Art In/Sane, is running a new project dedicated to promoting art therapy and its benefits in working with vulnerable people. The project is co-financed by Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB within the “Bucharest 565. Urban Connections” 2024 Program and will take place between 01.08.2024 and 15.11.2024.
The main aim of the project is to bring to the fore the importance of art therapy as a form of therapeutic intervention and social inclusion, giving people with vulnerabilities a platform to express their emotions and rediscover their self-confidence. Through art therapy and dance therapy activities carried out with beneficiaries of DGASPC centers and special school students, the project aims to demonstrate the transformative power of art therapy and contribute to the integration of these methods into standard therapeutic practice.
In previous years, the Entuziart Association organized art therapy exhibitions, bringing to the public the works created in the art therapy workshops coordinated by psychotherapist Oana Dorneanu.

Art In/Sane organized psychopathological art exhibitions in 2019, 2020 and 2023, bringing this art form into the public space and creating the first digital museum dedicated to psychopathological art collections in Romania (www.artinsane.eu). This collaboration brings together the experience and resources of both organizations to promote access to art therapy and highlight the benefits of viewing and creating art in therapeutic contexts.
The exhibition of psychopathological art will take place at ARCUB, Hanul Gabroveni, Sala Arcelor, between September 13, 2024 and October 4, 2024, and will include works made in art-therapy workshops, as well as works of psychopathological art made by people with conditions psychiatrist. The opening will take place on September 19, at 18:00, at ARCUB Gabroveni, where specialists in the field will be invited to talk about the importance of the exhibition in the public context.
